Terms and Conditions

1.Vedanti shop offers items of various interests and products available in the state of Assam in particular and the North East in general. The shop is designed to handle only items of e-shopping capability i.e. items in conformity with the cost, volume, on-line marketability, availability, demand, ease of handling, delivery conditions and adaptability in terms of electronic transaction and cyber laws. The shop is updated at regular periodicity. With time some of the items may be withdrawn depending on demand and availability. However, items of common interests are always made available once displayed. The shop reserves its right to perform at the optimal level of its status, bearing on the displayed items only, at any point of time at the full discretion of its management.

2.The price of an item might vary due to various reasons at times and the price effective at the time of placing order shall hold good for the specific customer. The shop is bound to accept the payment made on the basis of the displayed price at the time of order placement, which shall be binding on the customer too. Any variation in price made effective after order placement shall be redundant to the customer who had already placed an order on the respective item. 

3.Credit card payment mode shall be effective essentially for cross-country customers. Customers from India may, alternatively, pay in other modes of payment as provided in the order form.

4.Payment shall be made to our courier services at the time of delivery. Please note that Vedanti Shop through any of her affiliate shall not deliver without payment obligations being fulfilled at the time of delivery. Unless specified, mode of payment shall be as per given in the order form of the customer. There are some items where mode of payment shall be according to our convenience and therefore shall be binding on the part of the customer. Payment may be also made to the postal address of Vedanti shop i.e. SM Computer Consultants Pvt. Ltd., 2nd floor, The Institution of Engineers, Panbazar, Guwahati 781 001, Assam, India.

5.Defective items, if any, found in the presence of our courier affiliate at the time of delivery shall be entertained only for replacement. No correspondences of any nature shall be accepted on defective items if not brought to the notice at the time of delivery.

6.Vedanti shop operates on the patent of information and standard made available by the respective owners or manufacturers or distributors or dealers of the items being displayed at the shop and therefore does not have any control of the content or its quality of the items being disposed. The items shall and are supposed to perform at the form made available to the shop only and the shop cannot be held responsible for anything undisclosed, unspecified or unrevealed with the content of an item being purchased.

7.As far as practicable, every item is thoroughly checked before delivery and the shop passes on the same warranty to the customer as offered by the original owner or manufacturer of the material.

8.Customers claiming terms of warranty should contact us through email only.

9.All customers are requested to print a copy or bookmark the order confirmation page for references and records. This will be required at the time of delivery. Moreover, it is pertinent to note the unique order number generated on-line immediately after an order is accepted and confirmed. It will be this order number that all future communication can be referenced to.

10. Information available with the Vedanti shop showcase pages are elaborate for every item displayed. The customer gets complete information for an item as required to close a purchase deal. However, in the event of further clarification sought at a particular item, the customer is at liberty to contact us before finalising.  

11.All matters of dispute shall be settled only within the jurisdiction of the city of Guwahati.

Delivery

1.Delivery shall be made within 36 hours from the check-in time of the shop in the city of Guwahati and within 72 hours in any place within the country. The check-in time is 12.00 hrs IST.

2.Unless, due to reasons beyond control or cause of political disturbances, natural calamity of any nature or God's act, delivery schedules shall bear directly to our credibility and the customer, if need be, may not raise disputable condition without allowing the management fully investigate.

3.No compensation shall be made or queries entertained on delayed delivery. The customer shall be expected to co-operate with the cause of unnatural delay, if at all, due to genuine reasoning of occurrence.

4.Delivery is effected through our alliances with third party courier services and as such additional terms of delivery set by the concerned courier services shall be binding on the customer. 

Taxes & other charges

1. Taxes and other charges applicable on the items billed with the purchase made shall be a part of the total cost and are binding for payment on the part of the customer.

2.In all cases, no separate invoices are issued and the on-line purchase document shall serve all purposes of billing requirement. The customer is required to either print or bookmark the on-line purchase document immediately after an order is placed. There is no provision for duplicate billing.

Revision of terms

The management of Vedanti shop reserves the right to alter, remove, add, modify any or all of the clauses set above at any time. The terms effective at the time of delivery shall be apply in all matters.
